Our Story

An industry outsider who chose to build for the long term.

Dr. G.V. Rao entered real estate in 2000 — an industry outsider who believed Hyderabad deserved better than what was being built. He founded SAS Infra in 2018 to build to that standard.

Our portfolio includes SAS Crown, the tallest residential tower in South India; SAS iTower, one of the four largest commercial developments in the world; and The Address, a curated luxury retail brand opening at SAS iTower and at further locations across the city.

Each project is built with the world's best firms at every layer, sits inside the corridor that will define Hyderabad's next decade, and is engineered well above what code requires.

Dr. G.V. Rao entered real estate in 2000, an industry outsider with a background in veterinary science and a deep interest in organic farming. Without an inherited portfolio or industry connections, he built SAS Infra from the ground up by hiring professional talent and partnering with the best firms in the world at each layer of the build.

Under his leadership, the company has grown into a portfolio that includes the tallest residential and commercial developments in its region, with a consistent preference for long-term value over short-term volume.

His operating philosophy is direct: think globally, execute locally, never compromise on structural integrity. He is personally involved in land selection, master planning, and partner selection for every SAS Infra development.

Hyderabad is in the middle of becoming the city it will be for the next hundred years. The work that gets put in the ground now is the work that decides which version of the city wins.

I started SAS Infra because I believed Hyderabad deserved better than what was being built. That belief hasn’t changed. Neither has the standard we build to.

SAS Crown was honoured at the Times Business Awards 2025 as a Landmark Project in South India, recognised for its scale, design ambition, and contribution to the Hyderabad skyline.

LEED Gold U.S. Green Building Council

SAS iTower is being designed and built to LEED Gold standards. The final rating is awarded by the USGBC upon completion.

WELL Silver International WELL Building Institute

SAS iTower is being designed and built to WELL Silver standards. The final rating is awarded by the IWBI upon completion.
